Accra, Ghana — Popular Ghanaian afrobeat musician Kweku Blaze has postponed his upcoming Europe tour after his management announced he is currently dealing with health-related challenges.
In a statement released on social media late Tuesday, the artist’s team said doctors advised the singer to take immediate rest following exhaustion caused by months of performances and studio work.
The “Tonight Forever” hitmaker was expected to perform in cities including London, Amsterdam, Berlin, and Paris as part of his international tour scheduled for next month.
“Our priority at this moment is Kweku Blaze’s health and recovery. We sincerely apologize to fans for the inconvenience,” the statement read.
Fans across social media have since flooded the singer’s pages with messages of support and prayers for his recovery.
Entertainment analysts say the cancellation could affect ticket sales and sponsorship agreements linked to the tour, although organizers have promised refunds and possible rescheduled dates.
Industry insiders also say the growing pressure on African artists to maintain demanding international schedules is raising concerns about mental and physical health within the entertainment sector.
Meanwhile, close associates of the musician say he is responding well to treatment and is expected to return to the studio once fully recovered
